Who is TSA?
TSA Special Member & Insurance Services, Inc. is a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) that is wholly-owned by First Financial Credit Union. TSA started in 1959 as Teachers Service Association (TSA) and is the exclusive, endorsed provider of discount services to members of associations such as the California Teachers Association (CTA), Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), California Retired Teachers Association (CRTA) and First Financial Credit Union (FFCU). Today, TSA offers entertainment discounts, retail savings, travel services, and insurance products to nearly 450,000 of those affiliated members.
How can I join TSA?
TSA is not a membership “club” and therefore, does not charge membership fees or dues. Rather, TSA exists solely for members of educational affiliation groups, such as ACSA (Association of California School Administrators), CTA (California Teachers Association), CRTA (California Retired Teachers Association), and FFCU (First Financial Credit Union). Members who belong to those associations are automatically eligible to use the services provided by TSA, as part of their association benefits, at no cost.
What types of services does TSA provide?
TSA offers an array of discount products and services to save affiliated members time and money. The entertainment program offers discounted tickets to virtually all amusement/theme parks and movie theatres in California. In addition, seasonal discounts are available for water parks and special events. TSA also provides a full-service travel agency through its partnership with Corniche Travel, offering savings on tours, cruises, vacation packages, air fare, car, and hotel reservation. Retail savings consist of auto rental, hotel, office supplies, discount long distance phone carrier, and flowers to name just a few. TSA’s insurance providers include coverage on Accidental Death & Dismemberment, GAP, and Mechanical Breakdown Insurance.
How can I purchase tickets through TSA?
Virtually all of TSA’s entertainment tickets can be purchased by calling (800) 537-8491. Tickets can be purchased with a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, personal checks (when mailing in orders), or direct debit from an FFCU account. All phone orders placed Monday - Friday by 1:30 p.m. PST will be mailed the same day. Mail delivery averages one to five business days. Orders with subtotals of $1-$99.99 will be mailed via USPS First Class Mail. Orders with subtotals of $100-$499.99 will be mailed via USPS Priority Mail with Signature Confirmation. Orders with subtotals of $500+ will be mailed via overnight delivery for an additional $15.
Are tickets returnable?
Most tickets are not returnable or exchangeable. However, if TSA has an opportunity to re-sell the tickets, they may be returned or exchanged with a fee of 50% of the ticket’s face value. Some tickets purchased through TSA are not date specific, which allows affiliated members the opportunity to use them at another date before the end of the calendar year.
Why is there a processing fee on my ticket order?
Due to the value that TSA offers on discount tickets and the convenient channels in obtaining them, a processing fee was necessary to cover those costs. The processing fees allows us to offer our affiliated members a toll-free phone number, extended hours of the Member Contact Center and credit card payment options. Please note that affiliated members still receive a substantial savings on most tickets purchased through TSA and will rarely pay the retail or gate prices even with the added processing fee. In addition, TSA sends affiliated members actual admission tickets, thus eliminating waiting in line to exchange tickets at the park’s ticket booths. That in itself can be a time-saver during peak seasons.
Can my family members use TSA’s services?
Yes, the products and services offered by TSA are available to affiliated members and their families. Please ensure that the proper affiliation group is mentioned during the time of any transaction.
